Delivery Policy

Welcome to Sam & Lu’s Treasures. This Delivery Policy explains how orders placed on https://samandlu.ca are processed and delivered.


1. Delivery Areas

We currently offer:

  • Canada-wide shipping
  • Free local delivery (see Section 3)
  • Same-day local delivery (see Section 4)

Local delivery is available within select areas of the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, including:

  • Port Moody
  • Coquitlam
  • Port Coquitlam
  • Burnaby (select areas)

Availability is confirmed at checkout based on postal code.


2. Order Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and statutory holidays in British Columbia).

You will receive a confirmation email once your order is ready for shipment or delivery.


3. Free Local Delivery

We offer free local delivery within eligible postal codes in the Tri-Cities area.

Conditions:

  • Minimum purchase amount may apply (if applicable)
  • Delivery window is typically 1–3 business days
  • Delivery is contactless unless otherwise requested
  • Someone should be available to receive the package

If no one is available:

  • The package may be left at the door at the customer’s risk
  • Photo confirmation may be taken for proof of delivery

4. Same-Day Delivery

We offer same-day local delivery starting from $30 CAD.

Conditions:

  • Order must be placed before 12:00 PM
  • Available only within eligible postal codes
  • Subject to driver availability
  • Fee starts at $30 and may vary depending on distance and order size

If same-day delivery is selected after the cutoff time, delivery may occur the next business day.


5. Standard Shipping (Canada)

For customers outside the local delivery zone:

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout
  • Tracking information is provided once shipped

Estimated delivery timelines:

  • British Columbia: 1–5 business days
  • Other provinces: 3–10 business days

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.


6. Delivery Confirmation & Risk

Risk transfers to the customer once:

  • The package is marked as delivered by the carrier, or
  • Photo confirmation of local delivery is recorded

Sam & Lu’s Treasures is not responsible for:

  • Theft after delivery
  • Incorrect addresses provided by customers
  • Carrier-related delays

7. Incorrect Address

Customers are responsible for ensuring the shipping address is accurate.

If an incorrect address is provided:

  • Additional delivery fees may apply
  • We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by address errors

8. Damaged or Missing Orders

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Take clear photos of the packaging and item.
  2. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We will review the claim and determine an appropriate resolution.


9. Consumer Rights

This Delivery Policy does not limit your rights under applicable British Columbia consumer protection laws.
